I finally got me a pack of those little bitty razors that people use for their eyebrows. So I stood in front of the mirror and looked intensely at my eyebrows. Studying them oh so closely, I placed my left hand to hold my skin steady and raised my right hand holding the razor carefully. I gotta admit it was harder than I had thought it would be. I made a stroke. (deep breath) Ok, that went well. I turned the razor different positions to get to the spot that needed shaving. I proceeded to shave a patch and "Kkiiikihhhhh" Oh no! I sliced my damn forehead. I now have a 1 inch slice on my forehead. So go ahead. Laugh !! Let's face it, people with palsy, or spastics shouldn't be allowed to have razors. Forget shaving the excess hair off my tits! I'd probably SLICE MY THROAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TRAINS "Wooo-Wooo"
Well, I have collected trains for years. I still have the electric train that I got for Christmas in 1959. I have an N-scale and HO-scale. I'm in the process of displaying the smaller trains for the boys. They love trains, Tyler especially. He is 3 and LOVES that train with all the friends, Thomas. I've already given him a big train that blows it's whistle. I gave him a RR crossing signal bank for his birthday. When you put money in, it makes noise and the lights flash. He really loves it. So the boys have a playhouse, trains, basketball goal, swimming pool, and other things to play with when they visit. I got the bubble guns for their next visit. Man, this is right down my alley. I'm having so much fun.
JIGSAW PUZZLES
During the January-March time period, I began working puzzles. I've done 9 so far but haven't done any in the past month. Animals, scenes, and of course, ELVIS are among the pictures on the puzzles. Some I did in a couple of days and some took over a week. The Elvis photomosaic puzzle took a long time. Man! It was very difficult. For those who aren't familiar with photomosaic puzzles, the consist of many many small photos, when put together, will make a larger picture. It's a good pasttime for us retar--uh retired folks. So now I am looking for more Elvis puzzles to do. I have 2. I also have other puzzles to work. Now that the weather is pretty, I don't really want to just stay in and work puzzles. But I have some just in case.
Tattoos..........
The Bible says that our bodies are the temple of the Lord. So, as I see it, anyone who puts tattoos all over their body is like painting graffiti on the church building. Think about it.
Well, Lookee Here!
Let's see, it's been months since my last post. And alot has happened. My last post was in October, I think. So let's see if I can bring everyone up to par without boring you to death.
November: THANKSGIVING! Everyone came up for the holidays. But let's back up to the weeks before. I again came down with bronchitis. Didn't feel like doing anything. Three days before Thanksgiving, I had a little strength and decided to cook some chicken. SURPRISE!! The bottom coil of the oven burned out. TWO DAYS BEFORE THANKSGIVING!!!! So I try to get a coil and it doesn't come in until, let's see,..... FEBRUARY!!!! So we ordered anything that had to be cooked in the oven. Overall, everything was delicious and it all went off without a hitch. Others brought so much wonderful food.
December: CHRISTMAS! Again everyone but my sister and brother-in-law came up for the holidays. This time, we had more good food(some orderd again, some brought), good times, 2 pregnant women, .............and a DEAD varment in the attic. And it STANK!!!!!!!!! So nobody could sleep in that bedroom. We sprayed, lit candles, burned good-smelling stuff, etc. NOTHING helped. This odor lasted for about 3 weeks. (rewinding) Mother kept hearing something running, scratching, and chewing in the attic. So we got the Cook's man to look and set traps(that kills them and leaves their dead carcus where it dies & lies) WHEWY!! Now remember, we had not 1 but 2 pregnant women. Bless their hearts. They weren't sick enough.
January: Went to therapy for my upper back. From the MRI(something who is claustrophobic like me shouldn't have to go through), it was found that I have a bone spur, bulging disk, and bad arthritis damage on my vertabrae. And I have arthritis damage in lumbar area, and misaligned lower lumbar.
February: Our little Olivia Lain Montgomery was born on Feb. 27th. Awwww, she is so precious! Her big brother, Tyler, turned 3 on Feb. 24th. Congrats to then parents, Rush and Wendy!!
March: Mom and I both went to therapy; I, for my lower back and mother, for her balance and weakness. Didn't help either of us. But we tried. We also had to have the pipes cleaned out. Everything was backing up into my tub. It's always something around here.
Everyone came up for a few days and we really had a blast. We saw Olivia for the first time. She is beautiful and so precious!! My grand-nephews and I had a great time. Everyone had a good time hiding Easter eggs and letting the boys look for them. Then we all sat and watched them open the eggs to find prizes inside. My niece got the bright idea to "build a playhouse". So with scrap presswood and NO power tools, we proceed to build. Tori used a handsaw until she was cross-eyed. She asked me if I had a skillsaw. "NOPE!" She asked me if I had a carving knife. "NOPE!" She finally got her big brother, Rush, involved. He and I made a 3-wall house. It is cute. The boys loved it.
April: I have added to the playhouse. I put some kiddie chairs and tables in it and put their little picnic table by it. I put the little basketball goal by it too. I have shelves, and even a "Welcome" sign on the side of it. I spray painted the inside a little and put some shelf paper on one wall. I even put a real honest-to-goodness living room rug in it. My niece is gonna try and find a kitchen set & chalk board for it. I have a small magnetic board and letter and number magnets for it. So far it has a kitchen w/utencils and a few dishes, dining room, living room, bedroom w/inflatable mattress, picnic area, and basketball court. Oh, and all of this is in the garage so they can even play when it rains. I've had lots of fun getting it all together. Can't wait for the boys to see it. It is NOTHING like it was. They'll be surprised.
Stay tuned................

Update Number 2
My niece and grand-nephew came up this weekend. We had fun and really enjoyed having them. Mostly just lazed around but did manage to go to The Children's Museum of the Shoals. That's always a hoot. And we went to old faithful Wal-Mart. My niece got some material and made a blanket. She is so smart!!
Last week I tried to work a Photomosaics puzzle of Elvis. My nephew gave it to me for Christmas a few years ago. I waited so long to work it because I finally got some good glasses. Anyhoo, I didn't even get all the border done. I don'tknow how anyone works these things. There are so many small photos that are alike. SoI instead worked another Elvis puzzle that tells a story of his life and each section gives a clue as to what to work on next. I had all of it done in one day, except for the picture. It is black, white, and grey.
I trust everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas. We now have a new year for fresh starts. A clean slate, a blank parchment, more chances to start over. I trust everyone will take advantage of the opportunities that come with the new year and try to improve, do better, care more, love more, worry less, make new friends, and trust God in everything.

I'm Back..................Again!
OK, I know. I know. It's been almost 3+ months since my last blog. For that, I apologize. Got busy, been sick, had several holidays, etc. But I hope to be more consistant with my posting from now on.
Now for the news. My nephew and his wife are expecting their second child any day now. And my niece is expecting her second baby in August. We're growing.
I've found several interesting sites that I hope to share with you soon.
Ever since my first grand-nephew was born, I have kept a photo album of him. I also made on for my second grand-nephew and the little boy next door. I finally got my time and want-to together and updated all three albums. Because I have two more books to start. One for my little grand-niece who is due any day now. And I'll start one for the other child. I've seen so many pics, I'm cross-eyed. It's fun. I also have an album of my grand-nephews together. And I'll make one of my niece and nephew together as they grew up. Than I'm gonna make one of my sister and me as we grew up. Not very far into the future, we might need a wide angle lens for us. HA! Middle-age spread has taken hold. Yep, going through 50+ years of pics can make one melancholy. Where did all the years go? Was I ever that skinny? I wonder what ever happened to some folks. Lots of folks are deceased.
Mom has lived in the same house for 50 years now. Five generations have been in this house and yard. Many friends have played here. Many pets have frolicked here(& some varments not wanted-- see below). Many vehicles have been here from at least a 1956 Chevy to a 2005 Mercury. And some ghosts still linger here from past eons before we moved here in 1956. This old house has seen it's share of good and bad. It was added on to in 1965, partly remodeled in 1974, and added on to in 1991. And with the growing that the family is doing, we need even more space. We only have the whole clan together at the same time mostly during the holidays. But it's nice to have the needed space when they are here.
Ok, about the varments. In 1990, 91, we had some possums living under the floor. In the springtime, we usually have ants marching through the kitchen. In the summer, I found a Brown Recluse in my tub. So I caught the thing and took it to Cook's Pest Control. Mom and I had to leave for a day while the house was sprayed and traps were set. After that, we had something gnawing around the attic. The Cook's guy put bait up there and whatever was living up there, ate it............and died.............and started stinking. UGH!! Just in time for Christmas and it started to smell. It was so bad, nobody could sleep in the room. And we had 2 pregnant women at the time. I tried several things to get rid of the odor. But when a dead verment smells, there "ain't no getting rid of the stink"!!!!! Hee! We sprayed, put out deoderizers, and finally turned on the vaccumn with deoderizers in the water. I thought about the latter after everybody had gone. Better late than never, I guess. But it only helped temporarily. So after a month of smelling this rancid, foul order, it went away. So a word of wisdom from a fool. DO NOT put bait out to get rid of some varment! Trap it live and get rid of it.

Great Trip
Mother and I went to Pelham area to visit family for a few days. Had a good time. All the family members in the area came over two nights to visit. My bro-in-law cooked and the food was wonderful. Got to visit my sister's work place and meet a few folks. Got our eyes checked for glasses where my niece works. My nephew and his family came over. I played with my two grand-nephews. We are pooped.
I thought my bed was high. Man, mother had to have a B'ham phone book to get up on the bed at my sister's place. I thank each and every person who's name is in that book. It is a thick one.
Then I had to run errands when we got home. Washed and trimmed mother's hair. "Tired" ain't the word for the way I feel right now. I passed that hours ago.
Thanks, family, for the great trip and fun we had.

WWYT, part 2
Some things that can be substituted for usual needs are:
shampoo-------dry shampoo spray
soap-----------latherless bath rinse
usual size------small personal sizes (get small containers and separate the larger portions)
Obviously, one can use his/her on discretion when packing the necessary items that might be needed. The list I made can be altered as one sees fit. It is only a check list so you can choose.
